Help disabled children have a few laughs
VOLUNTEERS are needed to help take disabled children on fun trips to the cinema, horse riding and sailing.
Stoke-based Caudwell Children provides leisure activities across the county as part of its expanding Family Support and Short Breaks Service.

TEAM PLAYER: Volunteer co-ordinator Amanda Johnson.
By providing volunteers and activities for disabled children, organisers are able to give families vital respite and help encourage social interaction.
Volunteer co-ordinator Amanda Johnson said: "The trips can be whatever the child is interested in and can fit in around the family life.
"It's really just about getting out of the home and having some fun."
The small team needs volunteers to complete the work it wants to do.
"There are thousands of disabled children who could benefit from this service but we need volunteers to help us to deliver it," added Amanda.
Those interested in getting involved will be given full training and no formal qualifications are required.
"All we need are lively, friendly people who can be patient and would like to help children in their area have fun for a few hours a month," said Amanda.
