Head prepares to be soaked in stocks at celebration
PUPILS are hoping to pelt their headteacher with wet sponges during Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Edenhurst Preparatory School's Nick Copestick, pictured right, is currently the most popular candidate after youngsters were asked to pick a teacher to be locked in the stocks.

The family fun day, on Saturday, will feature a quad-bike course, pony rides, barbecue, stalls and a host of other attractions to mark the Queen's 60 years on the throne.
But perhaps the most eagerly awaited event will be the Teacher In The Stocks game, which has seen pupils invited to 'buy' the teacher they most want to see locked in the device.

And Mr Copestick is among those most likely to be singled out for a drenching.
He said: "This has been a great way to capture the pupils' interest in the build-up to the event.
"When I last looked, I was leading the way, so I'm going to come prepared to have wet sponges thrown at me."
The PTA Jubilee Family Day will run from noon within the school's grounds in Westlands Avenue, Newcastle.
On Wednesday, the school announced a new deputy head, Chris Barnes, has been appointed and will start work in September.
