Gym will not offer compensation
A GYM has confirmed it will not be offering compensation to members who had property stolen in a locker raid.
PureGym branches in Fenton and Etruria were both targeted by thieves on February 18, within a couple of hours of one another.
Items stolen included cash, wallets, a watch and smartphones.
A PureGym spokesman said: "PureGym will not be offering compensation to members affected.

"It states clearly in our conditions of membership and within each changing room, that members are solely responsible for their own belongings while visiting PureGym and that items are left in lockers at the owner's own risk.
"Having said that, we would like to reiterate that PureGym takes the safety of our members and their possessions seriously, and are taking steps to ensure an incident of this nature doesn't happen again."
