Growers put on blooming display
GIANT VEGETABLES: Hundreds of flowers were on display at Bridgemere Nursery And Garden World's annual flower show at the weekend.
Exhibitors displayed their entries on Saturday and Sunday with judging taking place on Sunday morning.

The show opened to the public on Sunday and yesterday.
Garden centre promotions manager Rosalind Harrington said: "The show gave amateur growers the chance to exhibit in a friendly and competitive atmosphere. There were hundreds of flowers on display."
The prizes were garden centre gift vouchers for between £1 and £10, depending on the class. There were also nine special awards with trophies for categories such as 'best bloom in show' and 'best floral art'.
And there was 21 vegetable classes for competitors to enter, including the 'longest runner bean'.
