Great response to calendar appeal
RESPONSE: Please say a quick thanks to your readers for the wonderful response I had, after a recent request for a musician to attend the launch of the "Real Stoke Girls calendar" – in support of Help for Heroes.
We are now sorted and really looking forward to seeing the final calendar going to print !!
-

The launch date is September 26, and calendars can be ordered via our dedicated website at www.realstokegirls.co.uk.
They cost £10 each – with 100% of profits going to the cause (p&p £3). Many thanks to Gary @ Astons of Longton for organising the website for free!
Thanks to the Sentinel for all you have done so far!

“oh Micheal - i see your comment is aimed at Lz - so sorry = i thought you were asking me lol! In fairness though, i personally arnt bothered what Lz has done - someone who has a negative comment about this doesnt deserve a response. WHO'd like a calendar then? www.realstokegirls.co.uk £10 each - all proceeds to hfh xx”

“yes Micheal - At 8 years of age (In 1980) I held a garage sale to raise money for help the aged and raised £48. At 12 years old I walked the streets askin people to guess how many bottle tops i had in a nescafe jar for a 5p donation and raised £11. In March this year I organised a prize bingo event in Stoke to help raise funds for the ongoing search for Madeleine McCann, and raised £800. And to date I have raised £750 to get the printing done for the "worked to death" idea of STOKES 1st miltitary calendar WHICH no-on else has done. I HAVE NOT done it for my own gain or publicity and have undergone buying a business (which hasnt been mentioned once throughout this) and nearly lost my husband to toxic poisoning and internal bleeding 2 weeks ago. Throughout all this I still managed to get the calendar to print and last night raised £1750 at the launch - is that enough info for you? would you like to tell me why you want to know because Im not in the least bit interested in what you've done to be honest. Im dead proud of what Ive achieved , and have never taken a penny in overheads for my fuel and running around, because im a good person, doing good for those that sacrifice their lives for us, or who are victims to the cruel evil people in this world. as for Lz - just do us a favour and shut up..”

“lz,
At the risk of being boring, could you tell us, please, about all the things you have done to help charities?”

“I ve no idea what you may wish to do my comment was purely that the calender idea has been done to death however I suspect more than a little self publicity is behind this particular venture?”
