THIS year's V Festival tickets have gone on sale today. The local festival which is held at Weston Park in Staffordshire between Saturday 21 and Sunday August 22 boasts headliners Kings Of Leon and Kasabian, along with other top artists such as The Prodigy and Florence And The Machine. Day tickets cost £78.50, weekend non camping are £140 and weekend with camping are £165. Tickets can be purchased from Music Mania on 01782 206 000, but be aware booking fees up to £9.75 apply.
Tonight The Swampdawgs Blues Band plays The Marquis Of Granby, Penkhull, from 9pm. Entrance is free.
Meanwhile The Beat Route in Congleton play host to The Vanguards from 8pm. Within months of forming the local foursome found themselves recording in The Charlatans' studio. The result is Regress, a gritty blast of raw energy blended with a genuine pop melody, it's a rock and pop hit in the making. Entrance is £2 on the door.
On Saturday Headrush play The Sugarmill from 7pm. Support comes from Blue Origin and Anaphero. Tickets are £4.50 from Music Mania on 01782 206 000.
A reminder that on Sunday the Into The Mouth Of Hell We March event, hosted by Trivium, has been moved from the Victoria Hall to Keele University's ballroom. All original tickets remain valid, however more are available from Music Mania on 01782 206 000 for £18.
Wednesday welcomes Rox and Sahreal to The Sugarmill from 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 and available from Music Mania in Hanley.
On Thursday the 2010 One Day In May festival series at The Rigger continues. Proceeds from all performances will be donated to Cancer Research Keele University.
