MORE than 100 ghostbusters took part in an event to raise money for charity.

The Staffordshire Adult Autistic Association (SAAS) organised the ghost hunt of Port Vale FC last Saturday.

The visit to the club was followed by a paranormal investigation at The Leopard Hotel, in Burslem, which has featured on the TV show Most Haunted.

More than £1,600 was raised, with people asked to collect a minimum of £15 sponsorship.

A spokesman for the charity said: "There were reports of paranormal activity both around the Port Vale grounds and in The Leopard Hotel.

"SAAS would like to thank everyone who took part, with special thanks to Port Vale Football Club and The Leopard, as well as the psychics and mediums."
