A HISTORIC garden is on the lookout for new volunteers.

Biddulph Grange Garden will be open seven days a week from next month and needs more volunteers to help with duties such as greeting visitors.

Other roles on offer include volunteers for the shop and people to work alongside the garden team.

A recruitment day has now been set up for people to find out more.

Paul Baker, the tourist attraction's property manager, said: "It is an opportunity for people to meet the staff and existing volunteers to find out more about volunteering with us.

"There is a range of roles at the garden and we are also looking for people to help with things such as selling raffle tickets."

The volunteer day will be held at the garden at 1.30pm on Thursday, April 22.

For more information before the day, call 01782 517999.
