ONLINE gambling firm Bet 365 has been given planning permission for eight portable cabins to help it cope with its expanding workforce.

Planning officers at Stoke-on-Trent City Council have now told the firm they can use the portable buildings on a temporary basis at its site in Festival Way, Etruria.

Four of the portable cabins are already in use in the firm's car park, but they had been due to be removed this month.

However employment figures at the firm have now risen, leaving the expanding firm needing temporary accommodation while it refurbishes Three Counties House – the recently-bought premises next to the Bet 365 offices, which will offer a permanent base for the new staff.

The company has been given planning permission to keep the buildings for two years while the work is carried out.

The eight portable cabins will provide office space for up to 160 members of staff. They will all move to Three Counties House when the refurbishment is completed.
