Funeral is held for train victim
THE funeral of a man killed by a train will be held tomorrow.
Family and friends of Trevor Mason will gather at Carmountside Crematorium for a service in his memory at 11am.
The retired bus driver, of Fenton, died instantly when he was hit by a train at the Wedgwood level crossing, near Barlaston on October 5.
An inquest into the 69-year-old's sudden death, which was opened and adjourned at North Staffordshire Coroner's Court in Hartshill, heard that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
The father-of-two, who also had two grandchildren, was a widower and left behind a partner.
Friends are asked to make a donation in Mr Mason's name to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire Charity.
