RIGHT ON CUE: Two friends have completed a 12-hour snooker marathon for charity.

Snooker fans Chris Brough, left and Tony Nixon, who are both members of Burslem Snooker Hall, played against each other at the venue from 11am to 11pm yesterday, to raise money for Epilepsy Action.

Chris, aged 35, from Harriseahead, who suffers from epilepsy, said: "We have done a few snooker marathons for charity before, one was for 48 hours.

"We both enjoy snooker and like raising money when we can."

Tony, aged 54, from Newcastle, added: "My stepson suffers from epilepsy and I know others who do too.

"We have been asking for donations and have raised at least £400. Chris won the most games, but I don't mind because it's about raising money."
