Friends complete a hair-raising feat for two charities
TWO women said goodbye to their flowing locks to raise £1,200 for cancer sufferers.
Donna Bryan and Sharleen Osborne, from Meir, took part in the fund-raiser in aid of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
And the two mothers both admit to feeling the chill now they no longer have a head of hair.
Mother-of-five Donna had long hair for 32 years and before it was shaved away it hung to the middle of her back.

The 46-year-old, whose efforts raised £600 for the Douglas Macmillan, said: "I didn't look in the mirror for at least a couple of hours.
"We decided that we wouldn't have a graded shave and would just pretty much go right down to having no hair at all.
"My 14-year-old son, Daniel, has already started to call me 'baldie'. I don't know how long it will take to grow back.
"I have had family members with cancer so wanted to raise some money."
Mother-of-two Sharleen, aged 25, took part in the effort for Cancer Research UK after her grandmother Vera Young lost her battle with cancer five years ago.
Sharleen has also had the charity's logo tattooed at the bottom of her neck along with the date the headshave took place.
She said: "I suppose I am a bit loopy but I just feel really dedicated to help support the charity.
"My hair was past my shoulder before but when it grows back, I'd shave it off for charity again."
Both women volunteer at The Yard in Meir.
