Free taster sessions puts learner drivers behind the wheel in a safe, stress free environment
WOULD-be learner drivers who have applied for their provisional licence are being invited to a free taster session in the safety of the Britannia Stadium car parks where they will get 30 minutes behind the wheel.
The scheme is being backed by car dealers who will provide some free giveaway goodies and will be run on the West One car park on March 17 and is limited to 30 places.
It is being organised by Bryans Road Safety Centre, pictured, which is based at the stadium. Kevin Bryan, managing director, says: "This is for people who are about to start learning and will give them a useful driving experience away from the stress of other traffic and in the safety of a private space.
"Our instructors will have two pupils in the car for an hour with the driving split between them. We will get them driving straight away on a course that will introduce them to the pedals and gears, the steering and stopping and starting."
