EATING ADVICE: Yasar Riaz.
The sessions, which run from 10am to 12pm take place at Equality House, in Raymond Street, Hanley.
A more general healthy eating programme runs at the same time every Thursday from September 23 until October 21 at Christ Church, in High Street, Tunstall.
The courses, run by local organisers and offer hands-on 'cook and eat' sessions.
They are open to all ages in Stoke-on-Trent and give participants the opportunity to learn how to plan, design and cook healthy meals.
Yasar Riaz, who is in charge of the scheme, said: "Participants will pick up useful tips on eating healthier on a budget too."
The courses are both part of the Volunteer Community Health Champions scheme.
The scheme is part of Living Well Stoke-on-Trent, a three-year lottery-funded initiative to help people improve their health.
