Foundation in make-up work
MAKE-UP student Hillal Sleiman has linked up with the cast of the popular musical Oliver! to gain work experience.
The 18-year-old, from Crewe, is spending this week backstage at the Derby Theatre to help learn the tricks of the trade.

Hillal's placement was arranged after experienced artist Jennifer Lenard approached South Cheshire College to offer the placement.
Jennifer has been involved with classic TV and stage productions such as Pride and Prejudice, Emmerdale, and Strictly Come Dancing.

Now she is teaching Hillal some tricks of the trade, including how to apply the make-up to leading characters in the musical such as Fagin.
Hillal, who is studying a diploma in make-up artistry at South Cheshire College, said: "Not many students get this chance, so I'm grasping it with both hands. Who knows where it could lead?"
