ALL-CONQUERING Sneyd romped to victory in the Staffs Sunday Premier Cup final with a 4-1 win over Chell Heath Knave at Newcastle Town.

That makes it 20 wins and one draw from their 21 fixtures so far this season as Sneyd chase the Potteries and District Sunday League title and three other cups.

Victory over Chell Heath, from the Coors League, was secured with goals from skipper Tom Winkle, Darren Chadwick (2) and Gary Gibson.

Winkle got the ball rolling from the penalty spot as Sneyd raced into a 3-0 lead before Chell Heath hit back with their only goal before the break.

Sneyd, who are managed by Port Vale duo Tom Pope and Adam Yates, were also indebted to fine performances from defensive duo Andrew Carter and Phil Dutton, while Dean Smith remained a rock in their midfield and Chadwick posed persistent problems up front.

Sneyd look certain to lift the PDSL title before their potentially record-breaking season is out, and they are just two wins away from the Sentinel Cup final too.
