KIT CASH: A football team is celebrating after being awarded a cash boost.

Biddulph Valley under-13s, pictured, has been given just under £400 from Robbie Williams's Give It Sum fund in a partnership deal with Burslem-based JS Sports, which is sponsoring the squad.

The grant has been used to buy new away kit and training equipment for the club.

Treasurer Craig Hulme said: "This grant makes a real difference to us.

"Without grants such as these, small clubs like ours really struggle to make ends meet.

"It is a massive boost and we are very grateful. It has given the boys a real spring in their step. It means so much."
