Football: Former Port Vale midfielder Ian Bogie named Stockport County manager
Former Port Vale favourite Ian Bogie has been named as the new manager of Stockport County.
The midfielder, who made 181 appearances, scoring 12 goals, for the Valiants between 1995 and 2000, takes over at Edgeley Park with 20th-placed County just two points clear of the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone.
He replaces Darije Kalezic, who left the club by mutual consent earlier today after only 50 days in charge.
Bogie has been out of work since leaving divisional rivals Gateshead in December.

He has agreed a contract at Stockport until the summer of 2014 and takes charge for the first time at home to promotion-chasing Newport on Saturday.
