Football: Curley's treble sees off reigning champions Cheadle
JAMES Curley's first-half hat-trick helped Doveridge to a fine 5-2 win over reigning Division One champions Cheadle Cricket Club.
The Cricketers, who have won the title two seasons on the bounce, could not live with livewire Curley's pace as Doveridge stole into a 3-1 lead at the break.

HAT-TRICK HERO: James Curley scored three times for Doveridge as they beat the reigning Division One champs Cheadle.
Cheadle old boy Lee Adams came back to haunt his former side after the interval and Liam Dyche added a stunning left-foot volley 15 minutes from time to seal three points.
Doveridge boss Dave Dyche said: "It was a good win against a good side. They have lost one or two over the summer while we have gained a couple, including Lee Adams from them.

Daniel Hook and Steve Parker were on the scoresheet as Tean Albion beat Cheadle Town End 2-1. Jono Lowe scored for Town End.
In Division Two, James Stevenson's hat-trick helped Abbots Bromley steamroll Steeplechase 5-0. Ash Clay and Will Fearnihough also netted.
Bulls Head beat Three Tuns 3-1 with goals from Max Kiddle, Tom Bostock and an own goal. Clayton Harwood netted for Tuns.
Sudbury Park won by the odd goal in nine against Stone Town. Ezekial Osbourne (2), Gary Reid, Tyrone Gibbons and Stephen McGowan ensured the win. Simon Naginton (2), Nathan Mills and Braddon Barker were on the mark for Stone.
Rob Brown's hat-trick helped Star AFC draw 7-7 with Robin Hood. Josh Gibson, Adam Brough, Daniel Birch and Richard Wardle also scored for Star. David Foster (2) and Josh Groombridge (2) led the reply.
Liam McKay and Paul Grant saw The Plough to a 2-1 win over Blacksmiths Arms, who scored through Tom Young.
Matt Talbot, Shaun Phillips and Ben Matthews all hit braces in Draycott Potter's 8-1 Charity Trophy rout over Lamplighter.
