Football: Castle go for experience by signing up veteran Twigg
NEWCASTLE Town have added the experience of striker Darren Twigg to their squad.
The veteran is available for tomorrow's Evo-Stik League Division One (South) home game against Romulus and gives manager John Diskin further options.

Diskin already has Harry Clayton on loan from Crewe, and last week signed Marco Adaggio, from Rushall Olympic, as he looks to boost Castle's goal output.
The 42-year-old Twigg has been involved with Kidsgrove this term, both starting and scoring, and Diskin said: "He is a great lad who we feel can do a job for us.
"Twiggy has a big heart and a physical presence. He still wins his headers, holds the ball up and is good in the dressing room.
"We want to get him involved, and he is also welcome to do some coaching."
Twigg's position is expected to be on the bench, held back until perhaps the going gets tough, for Diskin will want to see more of Adaggio.
"We got him by chance.
"One of our players, Jamie Haynes, asked if Marco could come along and train with us and he turned up last Thursday.
"He was registered with Rushall Olympic, but had not played for a while.
"We contacted their manager and he was prepared to release him."
Adaggio has a varied background. He started his career with Shrewsbury and played a handful of first-team games before moving on to Bangor City.
He also had a spell with Stafford Rangers, scoring a couple of goals last season, and was also leading scorer with 15 goals for Worcester City in the Conference North. He has also played for AFC Telford and Redditch.
Adaggio played for nearly half-an-hour on his debut in last Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by bottom side Shepshed Dynamo.
Diskin said: "He works hard and has a good pedigree. He plays on the shoulder and runs at people.
"He wants to get back into football and looks as though he has something to offer."
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Dave Parton continues to make a good recovery from injury and should be ready to replace the on-loan Ben Chapman when his loan spell expires later this month.
Diskin said: "We cannot keep Ben any longer but, with any luck, as he leaves Dave will be ready to come back."
