IN BLOOM: Hundreds of flowers have come into bloom to help brighten up a school grounds and celebrate the school's 40th birthday.

Tulip bulbs, donated by parents, Fulford Parish Council and Tesco, were planted around Springcroft Primary School, in Blythe Bridge, as part of plans to celebrate the school anniversary.

Now the school is planning a garden party on June 23 and open days for former pupils and teachers on June 27 and 28.

Elisha Duke, aged four, enjoys the sunshine.
