Flats plea as time runs out on application
EXTRA time is being requested for a scheme to knock down a commercial premises and build six apartments in the same spot.
Plans for the development in Birches Head were first passed in May 2006 and approved again in June 2009.
A condition was attached stating work must begin within three years.
But the time has now ran out and a further planning application has been submitted asking for another chance to get the project started.

The Wellington House site, in Glover Street, is used by funeral director Williamson Brothers as a vehicle store.
If the plans are passed, the premises will be knocked down and replaced with a three-storey building incorporating six one and two-bedroom flats and a small garage for the funeral director.
A report submitted with the plans reads: "The redevelopment will provide a modern mixed-use scheme, which will replace an unsightly building that currently compromises the quality of the immediate environment.
"It will therefore provide a catalyst for the urban regeneration of the locality."
