Firefighters in Leek spend more than three hours battling house fire
FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours battling a blaze at a house in Leek last night.
The fire, which occurred on Leek Road at around 12.22am, caused extensive damage to the first floor of the property.

A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze, which was finally brought under control around 4am by crews from Leek, Longnor, and Ipstones.
The spokesman said: “The fire investigation officer went back this morning to carry out the investigation into the cause of the fire.”
