Final farewells to crash cyclist
THE funeral of a cyclist who died three days after she was knocked off her bike was due to take place today.
Mother-of-two Julia Howson, from Westbury Park, Newcastle, suffered serious injuries when she was involved in a collision with a van in Hanchurch earlier this month.
The 51-year-old died at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire on January 8.
Friends and family, including her children Lindsay, aged 22, and Matthew, aged 17, will gather for a service at St Andrew's Church, in the Westlands, at 2.15pm today.
