Final farewell for David Moss, 16, after fishing trip death

THE funeral takes place next week of a 16-year-old angler found dead at a fishing pool.

David Moss died in hospital after being pulled from a pool at Moreton Fisheries, near Congleton.

Keen angler David, of Healey Avenue, Knypersley, was discovered by his mother, Dawn, who had gone to pick up her son at around 3.30pm on Saturday, November 24.

Cheshire Police are not treating the death as suspicious and an inquest will be held into the former Biddulph High School pupil's death.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw David in the hours before the tragedy to get in touch with them. They can be contacted on 101.

David's funeral takes place at St Lawrence's Church, in Congleton Road, Biddulph, at 11am on Monday. The cortege will leave the family home at 10.40am.
