PUB owners are holding a special event to celebrate raising £5,000 for charity.

The Wheatsheaf Inn, Onneley, held a series of fund-raisers last year.

And the proceeds are set to be handed over to the Donna Louise Children's Hospice Trust and the County Air Ambulance.

Manager Carl Birchall will meet charity representatives to hand over the cash on Saturday, February 27.

And, to mark the occasion, he will be putting on a special menu and inviting in a local band.

Pie, chips and peas will be served, along with a pudding, for £14.95 per person. The evening will start at 7.30pm.
