Daryl Latham, aged 26, of Aston Lodge Park, Stone, is lead singer and lyric writer of new Indie/Rock band, Lost Scenes, with his brother David, and another set of brothers, Andy and Dave Price. Here he talks about how certain artists and music have influenced the band.

I TAUGHT myself to play the guitar at about the age of nine or 10 by experimenting, having always watched and enjoyed legends like the Beatles. I later did the same with the harmonica, which I often use alongside the guitar on tracks for the band. I also had lessons on the piano, so music has always been a great part of my life. At the moment I like anything new and unique with an indie/electronica vibe, but the likes of Kasabian, Red Light Company and the Prodigy are always on my Playlist. Music that has had an impact on the style of Lost Scenes would probably be Ocean Colour Scene, I'm a big fan. We're also often compared to the Stereophonics because of the sound of our music, but we've never purposefully modelled ourselves on the band, although again, I really enjoy listening to their music.
