Toby Gavin from Wilson Road in Hanford is currently studying politics, history and performance studies at Fenton Sixth Form College. The 18-year-old, who also works in the tea rooms at Trentham Gardens, classes Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange as one of his favourite films.

"I FIRST saw this over a year ago and it's one of the few films I can watch again and again without getting bored. It's aimed at an adult audience so it's quite full on at times, but I think it's really well made and grips you from start to finish.

"It's based on Anthony Burgess's 1962 novel and focuses on a character called Alex, whose pleasures range from classical music to rape and ultra-violence. Alex leads a gang and the films looks at their crime and behaviour before he is arrested and tried for murder. "I'm studying politics at the moment so I took an interest in the way that Alex is treated after his arrest and how people are trying to change him through different psychological techniques. A Clockwork Orange can be quite disturbing at times so it has an 18 certificate, but if you like this type of film then it's certainly one to watch."
