Family makes donation to hospital
DONATION: Family and friends have donated money to a children's ward in memory of a great-grandmother.
Josephine Hulse, pictured inset, died of breast cancer in January, and her widower Keith asked mourners to make donations to the Cheethams ward at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, in lieu of flowers.
Keith and Josephine's great-granddaughter Megan-Louise Morris was treated for leukaemia at the ward when she was two.
Megan-Louise, pictured front, who is now nine, joined family members in handing over a cheque for £500 to the Cheethams staff.
Mr Hulse, aged 78, of Stone Road, Trentham, said: "My wife died of breast cancer, but our great-granddaughter Megan-Louise was treated at the Cheethams ward, so I thought it would be appropriate to give money to the oncology department there.
"Josephine was very close to all our grandchildren and great-grandchildren."
