PEOPLE who think they may have treasures lurking in their lofts and garages have been invited to a free valuation day.

Experts from Nantwich's Antique Buying Centre will be at the Old Smithy pub, in Castle Street, Eccleshall, on Tuesday.

They have invited people to bring as many antiques, coins, medals, jewellery, clocks, watches, gold and items of pottery along as they like between noon and 4pm.

Organisers say they will also be collecting for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Alzheimer's Society on the day.

They add that, if items are to large or fragile, free home visits can be arranged by calling 0800 3897080.
