A MUM whose son suffers from cerebral palsy has organised an eight-hour exercise session to raise money for charity.

Freelance fitness instructor Helen Spencer is running a series of consecutive exercise classes to raise funds for Sport Relief.

And the 40-year-old from Crewe is hoping people who take part will help raise more than £2,000.

She said: "We did a similar thing two years ago and raised that amount with 20 people. We've got 18 people signed up to take part so we're well on target."

Helen's eight-year-old son William has cerebral palsy and couldn't walk until he was five. She said she was inspired to raise money for Sport Relief as it gives funding to the playground he uses.

The fund-raising event will take place at Total Fitness gym in Macon Way, Crewe, on Saturday.

The session will start at 9.30am with total tone, followed by aerobics and circuit training.

Participants will then have a break for lunch before taking part in combat, powerbody, step and finally aquarobics at 6pm.

Anyone interested in taking part should call Helen on 07946 335192 or Total Fitness on 01270 504290.
