FUN and community spirit are set to be at the forefront of an event in Stafford next month.

A celebration of unity on the Highfields estate is set to be held at the Signpost Centre on Friday, July 17.

The event – which will be held between 1pm and 5pm – will mark the two-year anniversary of the centre's opening.

And to entertain those at the event, organisers have set up inflatable bungee jumps and assault courses, as well as Nintendo Wii games.

Refreshments, which will include a candy floss machine, will be available.

There will also be hand massages for those wanting a bit of pampering and relaxation.

The event will be supported by Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, and West Midlands Ambulance Service, which is offering an open ambulance with information and advice.
