AN ECO-CONSCIOUS getaway has experienced a record number of visitors in the past 12 months.

Mother and daughter Maggie Peet and Emily Whitehead, who run Simply Staffordshire in Alton, are now preparing to implement more green ideas.

Maggie said: "In 2010 we will be adding new chemical free toiletries to all our bathrooms and trying a new range of eco-cleaners."

The Rowan House venture featured on BBC2 show It's Not Easy Being Green in 2007.
