Eating out
Alison Jones, aged 45, is a shop manager at the Help The Aged shop in Longton. She was told to give Pastiche bistro, in Percy Street, Hanley, a try a few years ago and has loved it ever since.
PASTICHE has such a wide variety of food on offer at such great value.

They change the menu every month which keeps it fresh.
When I visited for lunch it was only £5 for a complete two course meal, then if you want a dessert you just buy that as an extra.
The style of the courses are small and fancy, but the portion sizes are just right.
It seems to be quite popular and I would say it attracts a fair mix of people.
I think they have been re-decorating the interior in the last few months and it has a contemporary style.
I usually go with a friend or two and I've been going for years. I cannot believe they can change the menu every month and you still get the quality of food at such a good price.
Opening times are 12pm – 2pm for lunch, and 6pm – 9.30pm for dinner.
The Help The Aged shop, In Bennett Precinct, Longton, is appealing for donations. Items can be taken into the shop or call 01782 594866.
