Dramatic new looks for GS model Lexus
DOZENS of potential Lexus customers had their first look at the all-new GS model which will be here later this summer.
Lexus Stoke played host to the preview evening where a pre-production left hand drive example was on show to give people a flavour of what to expect.
The car is obviously more dramatically styled than before with a new 'spindle' look at the front which will become a Lexus styling signature and be seen on other models too, and 'arrowhead' LED daytime running lights.
It will be a completely new car, improved in every way from the model it replaces, ranging from better fuel economy to the acid test of all executive cars – the golf bag test. This new one will take four in its boot, large enough, says Barry Shutt, Lexus Stoke's centre principal "for your's, your partner's and your opponents'.''

In true Lexus style absolutely no stone has been left unturned in the search for perfection. Prototypes racked up more than one million test miles as the car was fine tuned, and no less than five years were spent perfecting the driver's seat!
Simon Pinkstone, MD of the Lexus and Toyota dealerships at Trentham Lakes, says: "Lexus is moving into a new era where the legendary build quality and customer service will be retained but the cars will have a little bit more excitement, a bit more passion, built into them.
"We can see with the styling of the GS that it has much more dramatic looks at the front but there are important changes under the skin too. The old model was slightly compromised by being adapted to take hybrid technology whereas this new generation model has been designed with it in mind from day one. The cars are the same size externally, but there is much more room inside and especially in the boot.''
And he said that even though the event was staged last Thursday evening, just before the start of the Easter bank holiday, he was delighted with the number of people who attended for the unveiling.
