Dougie Mac launches volunteer appeal for tasty Tea Rooms
The Douglas Macmillan Hospice is appealing for volunteers for their Tea Room at Carmountside because of the increase in demand for the service.
The Tea Room customer base has grown significantly since it opened in 2011 and is now looking for extra people who can give their time to help keep it going.

“I suppose this will appeal to those living in the vicinity mainly. Milton; Baddeley Green; Abbey Hulton; but of course some who live further afield, and who can afford the travelling costs, will no doubt find it a rewarding contribution to easing the pain of grief for the bereaved.”
