Double amputee faces 'back to work' assessment
AMPUTEE Chris Cann has appealed against a ruling that he must face a fit-for-work assessment.
The 57-year-old, pictured, has chronic arthritis and lost both legs above the knee as well as a finger to diabetes.

He is also mourning the loss of his partner of 11 years, Emma Watson, in August.
But the DWP made an appointment for him to face an Atos assessment just 15 days after his right leg was amputated last month.

The DWP say he must be assessed for work within 18 months, but he has appealed the decision.
Mr Cann, of Cauldon Road, Shelton, said: "There is nothing I can do about it. I just have to wait for the appeal decision. The powers that be say everybody in the country should be in work. They need to have a look at the lack of jobs that are actually around at the moment."
