Don't run out of medicine
NORTH Staffordshire's two primary care trusts are warning people not run out of their medication this Easter by making sure they have their repeat prescriptions organised.
They say while some pharmacies will be open for limited times during the Easter weekend starting Friday April 2, the priority will be to deal with emergency prescriptions.
As well as urging people to check their prescriptions, health bosses are also asking people not to attend the GP out-of-hours service in Basford and A&E at Hartshill unless it is an emergency.
Tony Bruce, chief executive of NHS North Staffordshire, said: "We have had cases of people running out of medication and then having to see a doctor as an emergency for a repeat prescription. This is something we want to avoid."
