NEW FACES: It has been five years now and we still have Jonathan Wilkes as our main star in the panto at The Regent Theatre, in Hanley. Isn't it time that Mr Wilkes goes to another city and takes his 'ay up duck' jokes with him? It gets rather boring paying out to see Jonathan Wilkes, a local star, at a local theatre, on stage. Bring the well known stars to the city. Having to watch Mr Wilkes in Stoke's Top Talent and the panto is a bit too much.

I read that Jonathan Wilkes comes back to The Regent by popular demand, according to Richard Wingate, manager of the theatre. Is this true?

Or is it because the theatre doesn't want to get anyone new in case they don't do as well? It's about time the theatre changes and bring in some new faces to Stoke-on-Trent.
