Disney's demise is terrible news
I CAN'T believe that the Disney Store chose to leave Hanley and the Potteries Shopping Centre.
Going there in Hanley was the best part of the day.
The first time I went was in 1998 as a special treat with Mrs Potts, my schoolteacher, on a Friday afternoon.
Since then, this particular shop has been a big part of my life. Things were bad enough with HMV going into administration, but this time things have gone too far.

I didn't really care about buying, but enjoyed looking around at the wonderful things which were well made.
Online shopping may be quick and efficient, but it can't hold a candle to kind and helpful staff, store displays, or seeing the beautifully-crafted character sculptures above the shelves.
When Disney bought Lucasfilm, I was looking forward to going with my friend Jennifer and seeing Star Wars fans looking for products or taking my nephew George to the shop.
Potteries Centre officials and Disney bosses, I'm ashamed of you!

“The store is a shop to buy things not a museum to view things.
no wonder they had to close if they were not making money.”
