A SLIMMER who raised more than £1,000 for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Breast Cancer Care has lost another stone on his healthy new diet.

Nathan Denson, a 25-year-old from Ullswater Avenue, Burslem, was challenged by friends to lose the weight over Christmas.

And now Nathan, who ballooned to 20st after a car accident, has managed to slim down by 3st 3 ounces.

The Manchester City fan said: "I am still carrying on with the diet and my friends have been really supportive.

"I feel so much better in myself and it has given me a new lease of life."

Nathan is due to present £1,100 to the Blurton-based Douglas Macmillan Hospice in the next month.

He added: "I have chosen to give the money raised to these charities because I want to help people in the local area and it will go towards those who really need it."
