MORE than 1,000 people have snapped up new NHS dental places.

The Sentinel reported last month that Sneyd Green Dental Practice, in Hanley Road, had room for another 2,000 NHS patients on its books.

Half of these spaces have now been taken and a waiting list is now being operated for the rest.

Practice manager Amanda Wallace said: "We're going to stop for a little bit now to get these patients through their appointments. People can still ring up for the other spaces, but it will be July or August before we can get them in."

The practice has three NHS dentists and a private dentist.

It also had 8,000 patients on its books before the appeal.

Anyone wanting to register should call 01782 219711.
