Debate over BNP web link
STAFFORDSHIRE University students' union will host a students-only debate in response to concerns raised by the publication of private data in a public forum.
The union has received a number of comments from members regarding a posting on its website by president Assed Baig.
-

ONLINE POSTING: President Assed Baig.
It contained a link to details of British National Party members living within two miles of the university campus.
The link was posted on the student union website on Tuesday, but removed less than 24 hours later.
The debate on Monday will be open only to Staffordshire University students.
Transport will be provided for students at the university's Stafford campus.
Student cards must be taken as proof of identity.
A union spokesman said: "In order to provide a forum in which the issue can be discussed freely, fairly and democratically between members and elected officers, it was decided a more formal discussion was needed."

“What Assed did was an invasion on peoples privacy - he publicised information which he had no right to
This all seems to be in the name of publicity anyway as the so called debate now seems to have been hijacked by his anti facism campaign. It would come as no surprise to find out that this was probably all a set up.
Lets hope a new president is elected this year, one who has student interests in mind, not just his own agenda.”

“Al,
Do you know who she received the e-mail from? Was it an @staff.ac.uk e-mail address?
Please comment back or contact the Students' Union.”
