Deal Or No Deal cash winner Caroline Banana to face benefit fraud charges (video)
DEAL Or No Deal contestant Caroline Banana was due to appear in court today charged with wrongly claiming benefits – after allegedly failing to declare her £95,000 TV show winnings to the authorities.
Banana was set to appear before magistrates, more than a year after winning the cash on the hit Channel Four game show.

Millions of TV viewers saw Banana scoop the cash prize. She then posed for pictures with host Noel Edmonds.
But Banana, of Whitridge Grove, Bentilee, was later prosecuted by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

Today's hearing at North Staffordshire Justice Centre is likely to determine whether or not Zimbabwe-born Banana will fight the allegations of failing to notify the authority of a change in her circumstances.
