“what an absolute disgrace, why has this been allowed to happened on our city streets. Where were our local homeless charirities, why wasnt someone monitoring these people. Somebody should be accountable for this!”

“"The number of homeless and destitute asylum-seekers has soared over the past year, according to refugee charities. In some places the number of inquiries from destitute asylum-seekers has doubled since 2008. Charities and faith groups say they are struggling to meet the demand."
From an article in The Independent three months ago. Oh and when they die they usually end up in public graves because they're poor and have no immediate family here.
Unfortunately it appears Geoffrey will end up in a public grave too as no family have come forward to identify or take responsibility for his body.
I used to see him now and then on the town hall steps. It is a shock to find that he was only 61. I thought he was about twenty years older.”
