Darts: Taylor excited by world final
PHIL Taylor has described his excitement ahead of the PDC World Championship final.
The Power has thanked fans back home and said he hopes they enjoy their night – even if they will be having oatcakes and he won't.
Phil arrived at London's Alexandra Palace at around 3pm and has since been preparing himself for tonight's clash with Raymond van Barneveld.
Speaking to The Sentinel from the venue's practice area, the 13-time World Champion said it was going to be a match to remember.
He said: "I'm feeling excited about it and I am not nervous at all.
"I think it is going to be a great game tonight and both of us are playing well. It is going to be a cracker."
Sending out a message to his supporters across Stoke-on-Trent, he said he was looking forward to rejoining them.
He added: "After being down in London I have realised that Stoke in paradise without the sunshine.
"It is fantastic seeing all these faces here in the crowd backing me, but I have noticed that none of them have brought me any oatcakes."
The final starts at 7.15pm.
