Dancers pick up top awards

MOVING UP: City-based dancers were crowned winners at the North West Championships. Members of Farenheit Dance Studios, Fenton, claimed medals at the event at Southport.

Stoke's Top Talent semi-finalist Levi Broadbent was one of the winners in the United Dance Organisation (UDO) street dance competition. The 14-year-old, from Hanford, took a prize in the under-16 advanced division.

Chloe Biddulph and Lucy Salmon, both aged 15, were winners in the under-16 duo section, while 10-year-old duo Suki

Wong and her partner Luke Burns won in the under-12 contest. Suki also took first place in the under-10 solo

.

Other winners were the 10-strong Precise Crew who won in the over-18s open.

Dance club supporter Sue Moult, aged 63, of Shelton, said: "They did really well."
