Daley's diving show dreadful
I HAVE seen some 'dumbed- down' TV programmes over the last few years but the new reality show Splash must top the list as the dumbest of all.
To watch some of our great athletes in the Olympic Games last year competing for gold, silver and bronze, was a treat but to see tenth-rate celebrities who will do anything in trying to resurrect their so-called careers is just embarrassing.
I would rather watch re-runs of Dad's Army – which I did.
Once you have seen one down and out celebrity splatter in the water like a beached whale then you have seen them all and the laughs die even quicker.

Whoever suggested this idea wants to dive themselves, preferably from the top of Blackpool Tower into a mug of water.
No wonder the TV critics have collectively given it the thumbs down.
I don't think a second series will be seen for a long time.
One word of advice I would give to Tom Daley though, who has said he will give up his university career for a full time TV presenter – don't.
Get your education out of the way first and foremost and stick to what you know best and what we all have followed you for.
Once that is over, then think about a TV career but if anyone comes along with a similar idea, throw them off the nearest high board and run or swim as far away from them as quickly as possible.
