Dagenham boss John Still will be pondering changes for the visit of Port Vale after Boxing Day's 3-0 home reverse to Southend.

Still named an unchanged side for the fifth successive match but watched a below-par Daggers performance as they were comfortably brushed aside by their neighbours.

The heavy defeat does not necessarily mean Still will look to shake things up but the likes of Brian Woodall, Jake Caprice and Josh Scott have done themselves no harm having stepped off the bench against the Shrimpers.

The likes of Kevin Maher, Billy Bingham and Gavin Hoyte will also be pushing for recalls amid a full-strength Daggers squad.

Mid-table Dagenham, who have won three and lost three of their last six, face a tough task against a second-placed Vale side who share the joint-best away record in the division with leaders Gillingham.

Port Vale boss Micky Adams has hinted at a reshuffle also ahead of the trip.

Adams employed a 4-3-3 system for the first time this season for the Boxing Day win at Rotherham.

And the Valiants chief is looking at tinkering in other areas of his side to lift them into pole position.

Winger Ashley Vincent has recovered from a stomach bug and is likely to return to the starting XI meaning they could revert back to 4-4-2.

"Ashley was ill and that gave us a chance to look at something else, so the result has given me food for thought," Adams told the Sentinel.

"We'll definitely look at it. I've not had an easy game yet in League Two and I'm certainly not expecting one at Dagenham."
