DJ Ray Teret bailed after arrest over rape allegations
FORMER Signal Radio DJ Ray Teret has been released on bail after he was arrested over rape allegations.
The 71-year-old, who was Jimmy Savile's flatmate and chauffeur, was arrested in Altrincham, Cheshire, on Thursday by detectives investigating three separate claims of sexual abuse.
Teret, who used to appear at former Hanley nightclub The Place, was one of two men held on suspicion of rape by detectives from Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
But the force said the accusations were not linked to the national inquiry into abuse by disgraced TV presenter Savile.
